This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Wang-Koo summit, a significant milestone in the history of Cross-Strait relations. Throughout the past three decades, we have witnessed the fluctuating nature of this relationship. However, amidst these ups and downs, one thing remains constant—the increasing number of young Taiwanese individuals who have chosen to build their lives in mainland China.
With the rapid development of the mainland and the improved employment and living conditions, more and more young Taiwanese have found themselves drawn to the vibrancy and abundant opportunities offered by their new surroundings. This series aims to shed light on these enterprising individuals, focusing on the group of 'Taiwanese youths who have started their own businesses in Mainland China'.
By exploring their entrepreneurial journeys, we gain insight into the evolving dynamics between Taiwan and the mainland over the past three decades. This exhibition serves as a reflection of the changes in the grassroots relationships, showcasing the fusion of cultures, ideas, and aspirations that have emerged as a result.
