工業革命以來，人類以文明自詡卻無限擴張。為所欲為的人類，已使數百種動物因過度捕殺或喪失家園而遭滅頂之災。當人為造成的物種滅絕事件，就像多米諾骨牌一樣紛紛倒下的時候，作為自然物種之一的人類能倖免於難嗎？這是人類自己做成的危機，生物多樣性喪失的危機。本節目講解了什麼是生物多樣性，訪問了不同的專家和生物學家，解釋了地球正面對的生態和氣候危機。人類需要地球，但地球需要人類嗎？如果人類不作出改變，將來滅絕的可能就是人類。

Since industrial revolution, human beings have expanded infinitely with the name of civilization. Nonetheless, human beings did whatever they want and made hundreds of species extinct by hunting them or destroying their habitats. When manmade extinction happens like falling dominos, can human race, as one of the living species, survive? This is a crisis created by human, a crisis about biodiversity. If we do not change immediately, extinction could be our future.
