The Korean War, a war that never technically ended. All these years after the fighting ceased, we see ups and downs of the diplomatic relation between South and North Korea. The conflicts, however, do not prevent the common pursuit of reunification. Taekwondo, combining ancient Korean and Japanese martial arts, was born in South Korea and developed in North Korea. After 45 years of separation, Taekwondo artists from North and South Korea finally reunified and competed on the same stage in South Korea. The martial art becomes a gateway for people from both sides to interact.
