對華人來說,「豬」象徵富貴、豐足、安康,是盛宴中的主要菜餚、是向神還願的必備之選;然而,在伊斯蘭世界中,「豬」就是不潔,它絶對不會被當作可吃之物。當這兩種不同的價值觀走在一起時,難免產生火花。擁有600萬華人和1200萬穆斯林的馬來西亞就成為這場文化角力的舞台,一眾以「豬」為生的華人與一群以阿拉為真神、嚴誡吃「豬」的穆斯林互相對壘,華裔穆斯林頓成夾心人。怎様才可以化解兩族之間的深層次矛盾?


Two great rising culture of our contemporary society, Chinese and Muslim, are currently at odds over a highly controversial subject: PIGS. The fatty livestock is now one hot potato symbol of contradictions.



A group of Chinese who make their living in the pig business confronts Muslims who are forbidden to eat pork; Chinese Muslims are often caught in the crossfire. The stage is set in Malaysia, home to 12 million Muslims and 6 million Chinese. This conflict is only the tip of the iceberg. More confrontations are embedded. What is the solution to this deep-rooted ethnic dilemma? Mutual respect, forgiveness and love?
