After retreating to Taiwan, Chiang Kai-Shek had never given up his dream of retaking Mainland China. The Project National Glory, established in 1961, was the result of Chiang’s experiences in the formulation of different operations. Unfortunately, the failure of the 1965 naval battle and the post-Cold War United States attempting to create an alliance between China and Russia completely shattered all Chiang’s hopes and dreams. Phoenix TV headed to the Dazi Back Cihu in Taiwan, a former military base of Chiang and the clandestine command centre of the Project National Glory. Secrets behind the operation were revealed through the exploration of the command centre, the labyrinth of war tunnels, interviews with key historical figures and their letters and manuscripts.
