為瞭解中國林木的保育工作和成效，鳳凰衛視與國家林業局攜手，將目光投射向這條廣闊綿延的綠色生命線。拍攝涵蓋中國97%以上的縣，曾到訪武夷山、雲南、吉林、內蒙古等地，從空中到地面同步推進的拍攝方式，真實記錄了中國森林沿途的地理風貌以及居民生活狀況，真誠講述了人與自然的感性故事。透過走訪不同的林業專家和生態學者，呈現幾代中國人對生態保育的熱愛與責任。
Over the past few decades, different forestry ecological projects have been implemented in China and China nowadays has the world's largest forest preservation of more than 53 million ha.
