In the 30 years after 1949, Lin Yutang's books were banned from being sold in China. When he first arrived in Beijing, he was high-spirited. However, as the political situation changed, Lin Yutang began to adopt the concept of humour in his writing. However, that also led to his relationship with Lu Xun turning sour. Apart from writing, he loved to invent things too. He even invented the Chinese typewriter. Phoenix TV explores his unknown side with you.
