Ever since Kim Jong-un rose to power, his style of governing the country showed a great difference compared to the previous leaders. In July 2013, the North Korea government invited foreign guests and media to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Korean War Armistice Agreement in Pyongyang. Kim has shown a certain degree of “willingness to open up” North Korea to the world during his reign since 2012. Within the time he took actions to strengthen his domination to the country and win hearts and minds of his people. The international community has full attention on how he is going to give North Korea a new look.

A series of grand performances had been held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of Korean War. During the military parade, a portrait of Kim Il-sung had been presented and it surprisingly showed a great resemblence between Kim Il-sung and his grandson Kim Jong-un. Undoubtedly, Kim Jong-un is conquering the heart of every North Korean.

The documentary also visited the mysterious and unknown Kim Il-sung Political University, where military officials were trained. The University claimed to have a high-tech electronic library with millions of collections. However, our attempt to access the high-tech system failed. On the other hand, North Korea professed herself for having the longest history in Asia, and possessed the fifth greatest ancient civilizations “Taedong River Civilizations”. To find out more about this, we visited the Mausoleum of Tangun, where the civilizations originated, to reveal the discovery which every North Korean took pride in.

A chain of events showed that the North Korean characteristic way of thinking could still be seen everywhere. It makes people wonder how the future of North Korea goes.
