Ranked as the most significant creation among the seven famous Chinese prophecy books, “Tui Bei Tu” is known for predicting the future of China since the Tang dynasty. As a prophecy book combining theology and philosophy, “Tui Bei Tu” is often referred as a masterpiece in prophesying the fate and future of China. Besides accurately predicting the succession of different Chinese dynasties, “Tui Bei Tu” has also predicated the happenings of World War I, Sino-Japanese War and Kuomintang’s retreat to Taiwan, as well as other remarkable events in China’s modern history such as the Cultural Revolution and the Reform and Opening-up policy.
When a book written more than one millennium ago is able to predict the occurrences in modern times, people are left to wonder what abilities did the authors process in prophesying the future, as well as what the book has to tell about China’s fate in the 21st century. By interpreting drawings and poems in each prophecy of the “Tui Bei Tu”, and comparing them to historical events from the Tang dynasty to present day, the programme unveils the mystery of China’s fulfilled prophecies and explains the inference and reasoning behind them.
