早年赴美留學，本科畢業於美國斯坦福大學經濟系，後在哈佛大學甘迺迪學院獲公共政策系碩士學位。加入鳳凰衛視前，先後任職於香港摩根士丹利投資銀行部、世界銀行北京辦事處和美國紐約聯合國開發計畫署，並在《南方都市報》、“財新網”、香港《大公報》執筆專欄。加入鳳凰衛視後，于盈專訪過眾多行業領軍人物，扎實的專業見解和知性的主持風格，讓每次訪問都充滿深度和溫度。

Prior to joining Phoenix, Carol was with the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, the World Bank office in Beijing, and the UNDP in New York. Carol is a regular columnist for several leading publications across mainland China and Hong Kong. Carol received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
Carol has served in various leadership roles at Phoenix Satellite Television Limited She has had the pleasure of interviewing many industry and thought leaders across sectors, and has been a guest panelist on several television shows.
