巴拿馬，被譽為拉丁美洲的小香港，坐擁聯通太平洋與大西洋的運河，及西半球最大的自貿區，長期以來在國際航運、金融、轉口貿易等領域佔據著重要位置。
2017年，巴拿馬宣布與中國建交，鳳凰攝製組在中國駐巴拿馬大使館開館之際，到訪巴拿馬，探訪中巴建交來龍去脈，深入巴拿馬高檔社區與窮人聚居地，了解巴拿馬發展的狀況與挑戰，尋找中巴合作的前景與未來。

Panama is located in Central America, bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Its location on the Isthmus of Panama is strategic, controlling the Panama Canal and the Colón Free Trade Zone (largest free port in the Americas). Panama has long held an important position in international shipping, finance, entrepot trade and other fields.
In 2017, Panama announced the establishment of diplomatic relations with China, our crew visits Panama on the occasion of the opening of the Chinese Embassy in there. The programme illustrates the origins and development of the diplomatic relation between China and Panama. We went into the upscale communities as well as the poor communities in Panama to understand the situation and challenges that country faces. In addition, we look for the future of the diplomatic relation.
