鳳凰衛視攝製組遠赴菲律賓、越南、美國、德國、荷蘭，探討南海問題的前世今生，探尋南海的合作共融之路。節目就南海主權爭端問題展開歷史回顧及問題分析，從而得出合作才是解決問題的唯一出路。

The crew went to the Philippines, Vietnam, the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands to explore the origins and future of South China Sea issue and seek the road to cooperation and integration. The documentary presents the historical review and the analysis of the dispute and concludes that cooperation is the only way to solve the issue.
